Big thanks and congratulations going out to all the participating students who made this month’s piano recital a great success and a wonderful start to the summer! I would also like to thank the families and friends in attendance who made a big showing of support for each and every student. I am also very proud and pleased to have been able to perform Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantasie in A-flat Major (Op. 61) for you all at the end.
I am greatly looking forward to hosting another recital this fall, and I hope to see even more students performing their select pieces for us the next time around.
This is the second student recital we have had together since I began teaching in Barrhaven, hosted once again in the sanctuary at the Barrhaven United Church on their Yamaha grand piano. With the growing success of each event so far and the continuing interest from students, I aim to host these recitals on a semi-annual basis to provide students with an opportunity to perform for their family, friends, and peers, in a supportive environment that helps boost self esteem and confidence.
